Account Manager - New Business (Midmarket)

About the Job Account Manager, New Business (Midmarket) Drive growth. Win market share. Build your sales career. We're seeking a high-energy New Business Account Manager who thrives on opening doors, winning competitive deals, and building customer relationships from scratch. In this role, you'll own the acquisition of midmarket customers, win business away from competitors, and introduce Ricoh's solutions as smarter, more impactful ways to solve real business challenges. If you're a motivated hunter who values autonomy, consultative selling, and a direct connection between effort and results, this role is built for you. What You'll Do:
- Own net-new customer acquisition across an assigned midmarket territory.
- Identify, target, and win customers currently using competitor solutions.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, and marketing-generated leads.
- Lead discovery conversations to understand customer goals, pain points, and digital transformation priorities.
- Position Ricoh's solutions as differentiated, outcome-driven alternatives.
- Present compelling solutions to decision-makers, both virtually and in person.
- Collaborate with internal partners to design and close competitive opportunities.
- Net-new logo acquisition.
- KPI's include: appointments, opportunities, proposals and orders.
- New business revenue vs. quota.
- Pipeline creation and coverage.
- Expansion and share-of-wallet growth within new accounts.
- Uncapped earning potential: Strong performance translates directly into higher income. Top performers ramp quickly and exceed quota.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5 years of new business sales experience in a hunting role.
- Demonstrated success winning competitive deals.
- Experience selling IT hardware and similar transactional type products.
- Strong business acumen and consultative selling approach.
- Driven hunter mindset with disciplined prospecting habits.
- Confidence navigating competitive sales cycles and objections.
- Ability to build trust and influence decision-makers.
- Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and high learning agility.
