As Our Patient Access Manager, You Will Lead a highly visible operational department Influence patient satisfaction and financial performance Partner with hospital and system leadership Drive process improvement initiatives and operational excellence Develop and mentor future leaders within your team Make a measurable impact on the patient experience every day Operational Leadership Lead day-to-day Patient Access operations, including registration, admissions, and patient intake processes Ensure efficient patient flow while maintaining excellent customer service standards Monitor department productivity, quality, and performance metrics Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and patient access outcomes Team Development Recruit, coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing Patient Access team Provide leadership and support to Supervisors, Coordinators, and front-line team members Conduct performance management, coaching, and employee development activities Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement Revenue Cycle & Compliance Ensure accurate patient registration and demographic capture Support front-end revenue cycle performance through process optimization and quality monitoring Develop and maintain department policies and procedures Ensure compliance with hospital, regulatory, and payer requirements Strategic Partnership Collaborate with clinical, operational, and revenue cycle leaders across the organization Participate in hospital committees and cross-functional initiatives Lead projects that improve operational performance and patient experience What Success Looks Like The Ideal Candidate Will Be Someone Who Can Build and maintain a highly engaged team culture Improve registration accuracy and operational efficiency Drive accountability through metrics and performance management Deliver exceptional service to patients, families, providers, and staff Partner effectively across departments to solve challenges and improve outcomes Qualifications Required 5+ years of healthcare operations experience 3+ years of leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting Experience leading Patient Access, Registration, Admissions, Financial Clearance, or related Revenue Cycle teams Strong understanding of patient registration workflows and healthcare operations Demonstrated success leading teams and driving operational improvements Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Preferred Bachelor's Degree Experience in acute care hospital environments Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and performance metrics Experience implementing workflow improvement initiatives Work Environment On-site leadership role based in Sylva, North Carolina Dynamic and collaborative hospital environment Opportunity to work closely with hospital leadership and operational teams Discover Sylva, North Carolina Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Sylva offers a unique combination of small-town charm, outdoor adventure, and exceptional quality of life. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
