Location 21 Broad St,Bethel, ME, 04217,United States Base Pay $65,000.00 / Year Job Description We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to oversee day-to-day operations at Millbrooke Tavern and Grille, Bethel Resort and Suites. The Executive Chef will have a strong understanding of culinary cost controls, proper costing, labor management, and time management, ensuring guests receive an excellent experience while adhering to hotel budget and quality standards. Work Performed As Executive Chef, you are responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the resort kitchen operation, contributing to the vision and success of the resort, maintaining profitability, and delivering a superior guest experience. Run all aspects of kitchen operations in conjunction with the General Manager Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations and resort policies Handle and store food and ingredients safely Monitor inventory and purchase supplies/food from approved vendors Hire, train, and supervise all kitchen staff Assist the team when needed, leading by example Menu innovation: craft and continually evolve a compelling menu that reflects culinary excellence Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, food prep, and storage areas to health‑code standards Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and operational Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned Requirements 5+ years of Executive Chef experience Previous managerial experience in hospitality Excellent verbal and written communication skills with guests, management, and staff Strong operational knowledge of kitchen management, menu development, and food cost control Ability to provide excellent customer service Friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times Self‑driven and able to work independently Proficient in POS, Microsoft Outlook + Suite, and related systems Able to stand for long periods and lift/push up to 50 lbs Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location Capable of covering shifts as needed for associates Proficiency in English Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities High level culinary safety knowledge Strong attention to detail Second language (Spanish or French) is a plus Compensation $65,000 annually Earned paid time off Employer‑contribution medical/dental/vision insurance Optional life insurance Short term/Long term disability Optional 401(k) with employer match Employee discounts at participating hotels On‑demand pay with DailyPay Referral bonus for successful hires Bonuses based on guest score Opportunities for professional growth in a growing hotel company Giri Hotels provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY
