Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
ProCare Therapy is seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year in San Francisco, CA . We have multiple full-time openings across the city serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade , offering opportunities to work with a variety of age groups and special education settings while making a meaningful impact on students' academic and developmental success.
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time
- 7.5 Hours per Day
- 2026–2027 School Year
- Multiple openings throughout San Francisco
- Positions available across Pre-K–12 grade levels
Qualifications:
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential with one of the following:
- Mild to Moderate Support Needs (MMSN)
- Extensive Support Needs (ESN/Moderate-Severe)
- Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
- Previous special education teaching experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
- Ability to create structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environments
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and functional needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and California state standards
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
- Implement evidence-based academic, behavioral, and functional interventions
- Support students' academic, social-emotional, communication, and independent living skills as appropriate
- Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
