Role Description The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage the full spectrum of day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger updates, reconciliations, and monthly close processes. This full-time, on-site role in Fairfax, VA will oversee the preparation of financial statements, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting and payroll tax regulations. Responsibilities include recording journal entries, processing payroll, coordinating 1099 reporting, assisting with audit and due diligence requests, and supporting cleanup of prior financial periods. The role will also involve working with accounting software (such as QuickBooks), identifying opportunities for automation, and collaborating with leadership to deliver timely, reliable financial information to clients. Qualifications Strong bookkeeping and general accounting skills, including hands-on experience with Financial Statements and Accounting processes. Proficiency in recording and reviewing Journal Entries (Accounting) and maintaining an accurate general ledger. Working knowledge of Payroll Taxes and related compliance requirements, including multi-state payroll is a plus. Experience with small to mid-size business Bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations. Advanced proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), Excel, and related automation tools. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience supporting audits, due diligence, and process improvements in a professional services or multi-client environment is beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
