Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to provide temporary support to our Accounting Department. This role will assist with a variety of administrative and accounting-related tasks, including accounts receivable support, payment posting, filing, data entry, and customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

Position Overview

Responsibilities
- Post customer payments accurately and promptly to customer accounts.
- Assist with accounts receivable functions and account maintenance.
- File and organize accounting and business documents.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally.
- Assist with administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
- Support the accounting team with special projects and documentation needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
- Ensure records are organized, accurate, and readily accessible.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Professional communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Previous office, administrative, bookkeeping, or accounting experience.
- Experience with accounts receivable or payment processing.
- Familiarity with accounting software and financial recordkeeping.
- Full-time weekday schedule.
