Job Summary:
A Nuclear Medicine Technologist position is available in Johnson City, NY. This role involves managing the ordering, preparation, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals to patients, while operating gamma camera or thyroid uptake and probe equipment. The role requires ensuring radiation safety, maintaining proper documentation, and collaborating with healthcare staff to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8 hours shift, minimum 40 hours per week, starting 07/27/2026
• Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in applied science in Nuclear Medicine; NYS Radiologic Technologist license in Nuclear Medicine; NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification; BLS certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine
• Demonstrates attention to detail, collaboration, continuous learning, initiative, judgment/critical thinking, problem-solving, quality, reliability, and technical expertise
• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures including SPECT and SPECT/CT, and handles radioactive waste disposal
• Maintains equipment and ensures compliance with Federal and State guidelines
• Prepares and documents radiopharmaceuticals, manages image data transfer to PACS, and performs quality control checks
• Practices radiation safety and proper handling of radioactive materials
• Communicates effectively with referring physicians, radiologists, and other department personnel
• Adheres to hospital safety, infection control policies, and confidentiality protocols
• Performs other duties as assigned
