Are you a passionate educator who loves working with little learners? Ready to inspire curiosity, growth, and a love for learning in a supportive community? Join our team as a Lead 4K Teacher-in partnership with Ashland School District !

Looking for a DPI licensed Teacher to provide 4 hours of DPI/Head Start instruction four days per week (M-Th) with children and out of the classroom school readiness preparation and parent connection through goal setting and home visits/ parent conferences.

You’ll lead a dynamic 3–5 year old room, build a classroom full of laughter and discovery, and support our Head Start Program Performance Standards. The lead teacher will be assisted with 2 assistants in the classroom.

What You'll Do

• Inspire & Educate: Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Lead the Classroom: Coach and mentor teaching assistants and classroom volunteers to build a supportive, high-performing team.
• Connect with Families: Build strong relationships with parents through regular updates, informal chats, and conferences.
• Maintain Quality & Safety: Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment while meeting center policies, state regulations, and Head Start standards.
• Keep Track & Grow: Maintain accurate records and pursue continuous personal and professional development.

Physical & Professional Requirements

• Strong communication skills, basic computer literacy, high energy, and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to actively engage with children—including walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, and physical movement throughout the day.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

Requirements

Key Qualifications (Must Have)

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a closely related field.
• Licensure: Valid Wisconsin Teaching License (DPI).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional early childhood/childcare experience.
• Certifications & Clearances: CPR/First Aid certification, background check clearance, and health screening.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with early intervention or special education services.
• Familiarity with Head Start standards and early childhood assessment tools.
