Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Riverside County, CA – Contract – Accounting – $40/HR to $44/HR – Starting date 07/02/2026 Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $44.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities Manage general ledger activities by preparing reconciliations, maintaining account accuracy, and supporting financial reporting. Lead month end and year end close processes by preparing schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation. Monitor cash activity, fixed assets, inventory records and other key accounting functions to ensure accurate reporting. Support payroll, commissions, receivables and payables processes while assisting with transaction review and oversight. Coordinate with internal teams, auditors and business partners to resolve issues and support compliance requirements. Requirements Associate degree in accounting, finance or related field. 5+ years of accounting and finance experience with strong general ledger responsibility. Hands‑on experience with close processes, account reconciliations and financial reporting activities. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, create reports and manage large datasets. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Qualifications Analyze financial trends and provide insights that support operational and management decisions. Maintain high attention to detail while ensuring accuracy across accounting records and documentation. Utilize accounting systems and financial software effectively to support data integrity and reporting efficiency. Demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills when identifying discrepancies and recommending solutions.
