Location: Eden Prairie, MN — onsite daily for the first few weeks, then hybrid with 2–3 days in office per week Duration: Contract with potential for hire An organization in Eden Prairie is seeking a Systems Administrator II for a contract opportunity with potential for hire. This role supports enterprise infrastructure across multiple data center and cloud environments, including servers, virtualization, storage, backups, monitoring, and core infrastructure services. Gain broad infrastructure experience while helping keep business-critical systems available, secure, and performing efficiently. This opportunity combines advanced troubleshooting, project implementation, and ongoing operational support, with a hybrid schedule following the initial onsite period. Contract Duration: Contract with potential for hire Required Skills & Experience Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2–3 years of experience in IT, including systems administration or infrastructure support. Demonstrated success maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise IT systems. Experience installing, configuring, and supporting physical server hardware. Hands-on experience administering VMware virtualization environments. Experience monitoring backups, investigating failures, and supporting recovery activities. Familiarity with DHCP and troubleshooting infrastructure connectivity issues. Working knowledge of PowerShell for administrative tasks and troubleshooting. Ability to support infrastructure across multiple locations. Desired Skills & Experience Windows Server administration, maintenance, and patching experience. Familiarity with Active Directory and identity/access administration. Experience with Veeam backup and recovery software. Data center operations and infrastructure monitoring experience. Familiarity with Power BI for reporting. Daily Responsibilities Administer, support, maintain, monitor, and optimize enterprise infrastructure systems. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues affecting availability, security, and performance. Implement infrastructure projects and provide ongoing operational support.
