Backend Software Engineer

Designing and developing reliable backend services, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will independently manage projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the scalability and maintainability of backend solutions in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies Own backend features and projects throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring effective monitoring and ongoing maintenance Collaborate with various teams to translate business and technical requirements into secure and scalable solutions Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience Typically 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, or approximately 3+ years with an advanced degree Strong professional experience developing production backend applications using Java and common Java frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment technologies such as AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes
