Location: 100% Remote (Must reside in the Continental US – Lower 48 states)

Work Address: Columbia, SC 29201

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Interview Process: 1 Round – Virtual

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed test scenarios and test cases based on system requirements.
• Execute manual and batch testing for mainframe-based applications.
• Run mainframe batch jobs and troubleshoot execution errors.
• Analyze test results and document discrepancies between expected and actual outcomes.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with internal users and external partners.
• Collaborate with development, project, and business teams to validate system changes.
• Assist with technical and business documentation.
• Communicate testing results and project updates clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Work collaboratively with Clemson staff and contracted consultants.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience creating test scenarios and test cases
• 4+ years of experience with COBOL and JCL
• 4+ years of experience running mainframe batch jobs and troubleshooting errors
• 4+ years of experience using Serena ChangeMan
• Experience working in mainframe environments

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Relevant Quality Assurance / Software Testing experience
