Job Description
Amazing Opportunity for Night Shift Nurses in a Dynamic Cardiac Unit!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
- Schedule: Weekends Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- Experience: Minimum 2 Years in a busy unit with similar patient ratios and acuity.
- Traveler Experience: Open to first-time travelers and locals.
- Required Skills:
- IV Start
- Telemetry
- Pre and post-procedure cardiac patients
- Cardiac drips management
- Certifications Needed:
- ACLS
- BCLS
- NIHSS

Key Responsibilities:


- Work in a fast-paced cardiac and stroke unit, typically turning over 78 to 90 patients each week.
- Comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:5-6, with potential surge assignments of up to 6 patients.
- Provide care for a variety of cardiac conditions including:
- Stable pre/post care for pacemakers and cardioverter/defibrillators.
- Post-interventional care and management of various cardiac drips such as Cardiazem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone.
- Manage patients requiring non-rebreather masks and BiPAP under specific conditions.

Unit Environment:


- Work alongside a dynamic team with a focus on collaboration and support.
- Participate in high-level telemetry monitoring and utilize specialized equipment.
- Float within the unit as required and engage in on-call duties based on patient needs.
- Expect a supportive environment with additional leadership to assist with admissions and discharges.

Orientation and Scheduling:


- Complete a 36-hour orientation, available every day of the first week.
- Self-scheduling with oversight to ensure balance across the team.
- Compliance with policies on RTO, including a maximum of 7 days pre-approved time off.

Dress Code:


- Wear navy blue and white scrubs or a combination and adhere to uniform guidelines.
