Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Job Description

Join our dynamic and fast-paced cardiac and stroke unit where you will provide essential care for patients requiring pre and post-procedure management, particularly for cardiac interventions. As a Registered Nurse, you will engage with a diverse patient population, managing critical telemetry and administering various cardiac drips.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor cardiac telemetry patients.
• Provide pre and post-operative care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips while ensuring patient safety.
• Conduct assessments and maintain up-to-date patient care documentation using Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Floating to other units as necessary based on patient needs.
• Participate in admission and discharge processes with the support of a team lead.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a challenging nursing environment, particularly within a cardiac or telemetry unit.
• Current RN license required (Compact or NC license accepted).
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with IV start, telemetry management, and administering cardiac drips.
