The Real Estate Accountant will manage financial operations for both residential and commercial properties, serving as the sole accounting professional within the team. This role involves handling comprehensive accounting tasks using QuickBooks and collaborating primarily with internal teams to ensure accurate financial management and compliance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Prepare and analyze financial reports for residential and commercial properties
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
• Manage budgets to ensure financial goals are met
• Assist with tax preparation and ensure tax compliance
• Monitor compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information
• Track expenses and manage financial planning activities

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in real estate accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance
• Proficient in financial analysis and QuickBooks
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Strong time management and a positive, speedy work approach
