About Grapevine Wine Co.
Grapevine Wine Co. is a California fine wine distributor and broker, owned and operated by David Wiater and Keith Fox. We are not a subsidiary of a national conglomerate, not a brand division managed by a committee, and not a company where a new rep waits six months to talk to someone with authority. We are two proprietors who have built this company wine by wine, account by account since 2016 — and we are hands-on in ways the big houses simply are not.
Our portfolio is curated for the kind of buyer who values what's in the bottle: Dalla Valle, Continuum, RAEN, Hitching Post, and a deep book of world-class imported wines. These brands don't need to be forced onto lists. They earn their placement — and so does the rep who brings them in.

The Territory
Central LA is one of the great untapped opportunities in California wine sales. The zip codes — Beverly Hills (90210), Bel Air (90077), West Hollywood (90069), Santa Monica (90402), Brentwood (90049), Malibu (90265) — represent the most affluent and wine-intensive market in the country. Chateau Marmont, Spago Beverly Hills, The Beverly Hills Hotel, Bel Air Country Club, Nobu Malibu, Sushi Nakazawa, République — marquee accounts already buying from us with room to grow.

The book as it stands today is the floor. Only a very small amount of accounts are active — trophy names already buying premium wine. Hundreds of top restaurants, hotels, and private clubs in these zip codes remain untouched. The whitespace is the opportunity. The territory is currently carried by the owners; the right rep walks in with warm introductions and full owner backing.

Compensation
We believe great reps should earn like owners — and our comp structure rewards performance at every tier.
Base salary + commission up to 10% (W-2 employment)
Bonus for every new account opened
Quarterly performance bonus when you beat your goal
Per-case bonus on select wines
Expense reimbursements: monthly auto + meals
Health insurance contribution + PTO + paid holidays + field flexibility

At realistic mid-territory production, total compensation lands between $65,000–$90,000 annually. For a rep who builds this territory toward its potential, the ceiling is considerably higher.

What We're Looking For
An on-premise hunter with the presence to walk into the best rooms in Los Angeles and earn the business. Existing relationships with sommeliers, F&B directors, and buyers in West LA are a meaningful advantage — but we will take the right rep with the right hustle and make the introductions ourselves.
3+ years of fine wine sales experience, on- or off-premise
Deep knowledge of California wine and imported portfolios
Hunter mentality: you see undeveloped territory as upside, not risk
Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working independently
Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, ability to lift 50 lbs

You'll own your territory independently — but you'll never feel like you're working alone. The owners are in the market, picking up the phone, and personally invested in your success. That is not something the big distribution companies can offer.
