Position Overview As the Associate Manager, you support the General Manager in creating strategic plans and managing execution to ensure a profitable business. Associate Managers are key decision makers in the absence of the General Manager, owning their duty of responsibility. Success is achieved through operational excellence, optimizing talent, and new ways of selling while maintaining brand integrity. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Analyze business trends and plan initiatives for your store location. Educate your team on sales and profit performance tools. Create a consistent customer experience aligned with RL brand expectations. Develop the store client development strategy and lead community outreach. Execute the talent strategy, building and developing a customer-focused team. Drive networking and recruitment activities in your market. Engage in ongoing talent development conversations, providing coaching and feedback. Maintain productivity standards by managing processes, store execution, inventory control, and shrink goals. Champion use of new technology to support new ways of selling and more ways to shop. Uphold all company policies and procedures. Provide feedback to General Manager & District Director on high profit potential and category trends. Ensure sales floor and all store standards exceed expectations at all times. Create an inclusive environment aligned to core Ralph Lauren Company values. Experience, Skills & Knowledge College Degree or equivalent preferred. Retail Management or similar industry experience in a complex, high-volume or high-profile specialty environment preferred. Effective communication with customers and store personnel. Ability to maneuver on the sales floor, move stock, and handle chemicals; lift up to 30 lbs, climb moderately. Capability to operate register and stand for multiple hours. Work flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts and travel as required. Proven track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, management, and co-workers. Business acumen.
