About the Position

Job Title

Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET/CT)

Roanoke, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, Monday–Wednesday, flexible start times beginning as early as 6:30 AM (start time based on unit needs, notice provided day prior) | No on-call requirement | Must be available to work one holiday per 13-week contract (rotation with staff)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform PET/CT imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and patient care standards
• Operate Siemens imaging equipment safely and effectively
• Document and chart patient information accurately using Epic electronic health record system
• Ensure proper radiopharmaceutical handling and administration in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with the radiology and cardiology team to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services

Required Qualifications

• Active ARRT(N) certification or CNMT certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active state nuclear medicine technologist license required (Virginia license required; Virginia emergency authorization accepted while permanent VA license is processing)
• Prior PET imaging experience required
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Siemens and Epic experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PET certification preferred
• Experience working in an acute care or teaching hospital environment
