Position Overview Line Cook Hourly Rate: $16-$17.00 per hour Shift: 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., up to 5 shifts per week Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. No working Sundays or holidays. Benefits Free meal and beverages per shift. Benefits available after 90 days (simple IRA, insurance). Responsibilities Excellent knife skills and knowledge of food safety. Proficiency with kitchen equipment. Strong communication, teamwork, organizational ability, speed, stamina, and attention to detail to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Cooking food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the end of the shift. Qualifications Basic written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills. Accuracy and speed in executing tasks. Ability to work as a team member. Follows directions and instructions. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED. One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook preferred but not mandatory. Experience with various cooking methods and procedures. Familiar with industry best practices. Preferred Experience Applicants with high volume or casual dining line cook experience preferred.
