Payroll Administrator

Irving/Coppell TX (Hybrid – 4 days in office, work from home Fridays) Compensation Profit Sharing Program Position Summary We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join a growing payroll team supporting a large, multi-state organization. This role is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while providing exceptional customer service to employees and managers regarding payroll-related questions and issues. The ideal candidate will have experience processing multi-state payroll, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities Process employee data including new hires, terminations, status changes, and payroll updates within the HRIS system Support multi-state payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable payroll tax regulations Assist employees with payroll, timekeeping, and tax-related inquiries Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain payroll records and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Partner with internal departments to resolve payroll-related issues Manage a high volume of employee communications while maintaining excellent customer service Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and special projects as needed Qualifications Required 3–5 years of payroll administration experience Experience processing multi-state payroll Strong understanding of payroll taxes and state reporting requirements Advanced attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Experience supporting payroll in a large company environment What We're Looking For Team-oriented professional who enjoys collaborating with others Strong customer-service mindset Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and responsibilities Analytical problem solver with a proactive approach Detail-oriented individual who takes ownership of their work Profit Sharing Program Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life and Disability Insurance 401(k) Paid Vacation Paid Holidays Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Paid Pregnancy and New Parent Leave This position operates in a professional office environment and requires routine use of computers, phones, and other office equipment.
