Line Cook

Islander 71 Fish House & Raw Bar is seeking experienced Line Cooks to join the kitchen team during our peak season from March through August. This role is responsible for executing dishes consistently, maintaining strong station organization, and supporting smooth kitchen operations during high-volume service.
We are looking for cooks who already have solid kitchen experience and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy restaurant environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in food quality, works well with a team, and can perform under pressure during busy services.
Strong performance during the season may lead to an opportunity to convert into a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Execute menu items consistently according to recipes, plating standards, and kitchen procedures
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned station throughout service
- Set up and break down stations with proper prep levels for service
- Work efficiently during high-volume service periods while maintaining food quality
- Communicate clearly with kitchen leadership and other stations during service
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
- Assist with prep tasks, product organization, and general kitchen support when needed
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience required
- Previous experience working as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant strongly preferred
- Ability to work efficiently during fast-paced service
- Strong knife skills, station organization, and attention to detail
- Must be able to work AM or PM shifts based on business needs
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive, professional attitude
