Audit Senior

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek an Audit Senior to join their construction group at their Jericho, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards
• Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax and audit projects, providing constructive feedback and performance evaluations
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity
• Draft clear, concise, and professional reports and deliverables that communicate findings effectively to clients and stakeholders
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of tax, audit, and accounting regulations to guide staff and ensure firm-wide compliance
• Conduct research and demonstrate an understanding of clients' industries, while being sensitive to their culture and unique perspectives
• Collaborate with partners and team members to improve processes, systems, and best practices through continuous improvement initiatives
• Actively participate in firm-wide initiatives, including training, recruiting, and staff retention efforts to support team growth and success
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor and representing the firm in a professional manner
• Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and shared success

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an Audit Senior
• Public accounting background
• Familiar with the construction industry
• Skilled in ProSystems Engagement and CCH Axcess
• CPA or parts passed
