The Relationship Manager I role is within PNC’s Business Banking organization and is based in Potomac, MD. This is an in‑office position that encourages collaboration and balance. Job Description Handle relationship management activities with new and/or existing clients in a book of business to grow sales, revenue and market share with relevant sales goals. Work primarily with clients having basic levels of risk and complexity, operating under higher supervision and following direction. Acquire, expand, and retain client relationships to generate revenue and deepen share of wallet. Originate, conduct financial analysis, negotiate and document credit and non‑credit products and services. Manage risk/return and drive quality for new and/or existing clients, actively identifying and mitigating regulatory, reputational, operational and credit risks. Manage risk, drive quality, identify and mitigate regulatory, reputational, operational and credit risks. Focus on client opportunities, provide insights based on client needs and financial well‑being. Build an effective network of internal and external relationships, including community and industry relationships. Present the full range of PNC’s products and services to clients. Leverage reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and convert sales opportunities. Analyze, evaluate and mitigate credit risk using knowledge of credit fundamentals and internal credit policies. Qualifications Customer Focused – Knowledgeable of values and practices that align customer needs with solutions and able to create customized customer solutions. Managing Risk – Assess and effectively manage all associated risks to support PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered. Education Bachelor’s degree. Certifications No required certifications. Pay Base Salary: $90,000 – $150,000. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
