Our client, a growing and well-established organization near the Holland area, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to the financial success of the organization. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP or accounting software systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting experience
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
• CPA designation or CPA track is a plus

Pay Details: $49,000.00 to $57,000.00 per year
