Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement patient-specific physical therapy programs aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing functional skills based on individualized care plans.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to treatment protocols and foster professional development in practice.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of client mobility and physical function using diagnostic tests to formulate effective treatment strategies.
• Assess client environments and make recommendations to enhance independence and promote a safe and conducive therapeutic setting.
• Provide hands-on care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as traction and massage, and the application of various physical agents.
• Manage and modify assistive devices, recommending adjustments to orthopedic braces or prosthetics where necessary, in collaboration with healthcare providers.
• Document clinical findings and treatment responses meticulously to maintain accurate records and communicate updates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate actively in care plan development and case conferences, aligning therapeutic objectives with client goals and interdisciplinary feedback.
• Educate clients and their families on exercise techniques, safety in using physical therapy equipment, and strategies for maintaining an active lifestyle.
• Prepare clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with healthcare protocols and regulations.
• Provide guidance and oversight to physical therapy assistants, ensuring all treatments align with state regulations while supporting their professional growth.
• Respond to and resolve any inquiries and requests from clients and their families, focusing on delivering optimal service and supportive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Fit Living Physical Therapy, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population consisting of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Our clients range from young athletes to older adults, each requiring tailored rehabilitation plans that address their specific challenges and recovery goals. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license with automobile insurance.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
