Legal Assistant – Litigation Defense | Denver, CO

Direct Hire | $60,000–$65,000+ DOE

LHH is partnering with a Denver-based litigation defense law firm seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its downtown office. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong litigation background who enjoys managing busy attorney calendars, court filings, deadlines, and case-related administrative support.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide day-to-day administrative and litigation support to attorneys and paralegals
• Prepare, format, and revise correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents
• File and serve motions, discovery, pleadings, and other court documents
• Handle electronic filing in state and federal courts
• Maintain organized electronic client files and document management systems
• Manage attorney calendars and proactively track court dates and deadlines
• Schedule depositions, court appearances, client meetings, and other case-related appointments
• Download and organize court documents and pleadings
• Communicate professionally with court personnel, attorneys, clients, and staff
• Assist with payment and reimbursement requests and other administrative needs

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of Legal Assistant experience in a law firm environment
• Defense litigation experience strongly preferred, particularly medical malpractice/medical negligence or general liability defense
• Knowledge of state and federal court procedures
• Experience with Colorado electronic court filing procedures required; New Mexico court experience is a plus
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and calendar management skills
• Experience with legal document management and billing systems preferred
• Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, and deadline management skills
• Ability to successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced litigation practice
