Children's Wisconsin - Surgicenter is an outpatient surgery center that offers the latest technology. We perform a wide variety of outpatient surgical procedures, at a lower cost than the same procedures done at area hospitals.

• A medical staff of more than 150 surgeons who are board certified or eligible for certification
• Anesthesiologists who specialize in pediatric care
• Registered nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support; many of the registered nurses are certified in their areas of specialty, such as operating room and recovery room nursing

Location: Children's Surgery Center located at 3223 S 103rd St, Milwaukee, WI 53227 Schedule: Daytime hours | No nights, weekends, or holidays | Must have flexibility to work start times that vary between 6am to 9am | 8 hour shifts

Responsible for planning and delivering professional nursing care throughout the perianesthesia (pre and post op care) continuum.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an ADN or a BSN in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience). A BSN is preferred.
• A current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.
• Three years of current post-anesthesia or critical care experience is required; experience in an ambulatory surgery setting is desirable.
• Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
• PALS certifications required within 1 year of employment.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Must possess good eyesight, hearing, emotional stability, physical endurance and dexterity in order to draw meds, use phone, and write messages.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours, and lift and move large pieces of equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and remain mentally alert for accurate judgment
