Human Resources Business Partner

WLR Automotive Group, Inc. owns The Auto Spa, The Auto Spa Express, The Auto Repair, The Lube Center, Mighty Auto Parts of Maryland, and WLR Property Management. We are a complete car care company with 32 locations throughout Maryland, Southern Pennsylvania, and the Panhandle of West Virginia, with plans to continuously grow each year. Headquartered in Frederick, Maryland, WLR Automotive Group, Inc. was founded in 1987 and is still solely owned by the same President. We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders across the business. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining effective business partnerships and serving as a consultant in strategic and tactical approaches for all HR areas. A successful candidate will have experience translating business priorities into actionable talent strategies, managing change within a business, and influencing and coaching leaders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Act as a business partner by working strategically with the employees and management in a multi-location work environment. Advise and coach managers on best practices, internal policies, employment law and human resources management. Support the development and implementation of HR programs, systems, policies, and procedures, including consultation, communication, and change management. Maintains knowledge of all Federal, State, and local laws, workplace rules and regulations related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers/leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Acts as point of contact for employee relations, which includes handling employee complaints, performing investigations, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation. Assists with full life cycle recruiting initiatives to include resume review, phone screens and interviews, and candidate selection. Manage/leads HR projects & initiatives assigned by CHRO. Write, revise, and edit HR Department policies and procedures as assigned by CHRO. Qualifications Team player with excellent relationship building skills. Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude to ensure all work is done to the highest possible standard. 5+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a retail environment. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Results-oriented problem-solver with a proven ability to perform under pressure. Excels in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency. Occasional travel to and between locations within a within a 75-mile radius. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Flexibility and willingness to work occasional additional hours to meet the needs of the business. #J-18808-Ljbffr
