Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient, integrating evidence-based practices into care.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services utilizing various therapeutic techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and enhance holistic patient care, ensuring effective communication regarding treatment approaches.
• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatments, and self-care strategies to promote independence and recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking treatment outcomes, medication responses, and symptom changes.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment efficacy, address concerns, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care, share insights, and foster professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clinic primarily serves a diverse patient population ranging from children and adolescents to adults. Our approach emphasizes treating various mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric and mental health nursing.
• Active NPI number and valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient mental health settings, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), and knowledge of community mental health resources will be given preference. Experience in prescribing and managing psychotropic medications and providing psychotherapy within a multidisciplinary environment is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
