YOUR ROLE

Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts. Take responsibility for pre‑engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables. Assist with the process and review of various returns. Perform financial analysis including balance sheets and income statements. Manage the preparation of financial statements for compilations and reviews. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year‑end tax projections. Work on ad‑hoc projects as needed, participate in proposals, and manage a team of staff associates and interns, providing performance coaching and feedback. Maintain effective client management, timely communication, and clear direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead engagement on specific client accounts. Plan, execute, and deliver all engagement milestones. Review and assist on various tax returns. Conduct financial analysis. Prepare financial statements for compilations and reviews. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year‑end tax projections. Support ad‑hoc projects. Participate in proposal development. Manage and coach a team of staff associates and interns. Communicate with clients effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Accounting/Taxation preferred. CPA, JD, or EA preferred. Minimum 3‑5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm. Commercial Services industry experience preferred. Exceptional client service and communication skills. Strong tax research and writing skills. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with tax compliance and research software (Go Systems, BNA, CCH, RIA). Solid project management and organizational skills.

HYBRID WORK MODEL

Hybrid office presence: team members are expected to be in the office together on average 3 days per week.

COMPENSATION

In New York, the salary range for a Tax Senior Associate is $85,000 to $140,000. The total rewards package includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded parental benefits, and access to learning and development platforms.
