TOEFL Assessment Consultant

About the Role: Study.com is looking for multilingual ESL/TESOL experts to perform quality assurance on TOEFL practice content. As an Assessment Consultant, you will evaluate user responses using in-house rubrics, edit written feedback for accuracy, and ensure scoring consistency across various question types like Academic Discussion, Virtual Interviews, and Email Writing.

What You'll Do

• Review and evaluate user responses to TOEFL practice questions based on specific rubric criteria.
• Review and edit written feedback to ensure it is accurate, clear, and aligned with rubrics.
• Develop deep expertise in specific question formats (e.g., Virtual Interview, Academic Discussion).
• Perform peer reviews by comparing evaluations with fellow contractors to ensure grading accuracy.
• Collaborate with the in-house team to maintain high-quality preparation standards.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in English, ESL, Education, or a related quantitative field.
• TESOL certification is a mandatory requirement.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with adult ESL learners.
• Minimum 1 year of experience specifically teaching or tutoring for the TOEFL exam.
• Non-native English speaker with native-level multilingual proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to apply consistent scoring standards independently.
• Nice to Have: Familiarity with TOEFL 2026 updates and experience with the latest question formats.
