Strategic Business Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Business Analyst based in United States.

The Strategic Business Analyst plays a key role in helping enterprise clients navigate digital transformation and improve organizational effectiveness.
You will manage executive relationships, support strategic programs, and translate complex business challenges into structured, actionable initiatives.
The role requires close collaboration with Finance, Procurement, IT, Capital Planning, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
You will facilitate workshops, gather requirements, analyze processes, and develop clear documentation that supports technology and operational decisions.
A major focus will be evaluating build-versus-buy options, vendor solutions, integrations, and future-state workflows.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis expertise with confident executive communication, technology fluency, and a results-oriented mindset.

Accountabilities:

• Partner with Program Management leads and cross-functional teams across Finance, Procurement, IT, Capital Planning, and related functions to identify stakeholders, understand business objectives, and gather requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews to uncover pain points, clarify business needs, align priorities, and establish shared goals.
• Translate stakeholder needs and complex business challenges into clear, actionable business requirements and strategic recommendations.
• Analyze current-state processes and define future-state workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, improve effectiveness, and enable digital transformation.
• Support build-versus-buy assessments by evaluating functional requirements, vendor capabilities, available solutions, and internal technology capabilities.
• Produce structured analysis and documentation to support data-driven decisions, vendor evaluations, and internal technology development initiatives.
• Develop high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that clearly define current and future states, workflows, requirements, and system expectations.
• Define requirements for integrations involving two or more systems, ensuring business needs and expected system interactions are clearly documented.
• Leverage reporting and business intelligence tools to analyze information, surface insights, and support strategic decision-making.
• Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and effectively manage upward by communicating priorities, risks, recommendations, and project progress clearly.
• Take ownership of assigned initiatives, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, and drive projects toward measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of business analysis experience supporting enterprise or global clients, with a focus on process design, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
• 2+ years of project management experience using Trimble (formerly e-Builder) .
• Proven ability to work with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to elicit, document, analyze, and translate business needs into actionable requirements and insights.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder engagement, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to distill complex information into concise and strategic recommendations.
• Demonstrated success delivering analytical solutions and driving business outcomes across technology and operational functions.
• Proficiency with business analysis and productivity tools such as Google Workspace , along with experience using BI and reporting platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools .
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for identifying process improvement opportunities and translating them into practical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage upward, communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, and maintain alignment across multiple priorities.
• Experience in the construction industry, particularly in construction-related business processes or project management, is preferred.
• Experience working in manufacturing, data center, airport, or similarly complex operational environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with capital planning and construction technology platforms such as Procore, e-Builder, Primavera Unifier, Microsoft Project, or Newforma is desirable.
• Experience with technology implementations, software administration, optimization, or enterprise technology environments is advantageous.

• Able to remain even-tempered under pressure, adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, accept feedback, and continuously develop new skills.
