ChristianaCare's Outpatient Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented, adaptable, and highly organized Medical Office Assistant I with strong communication skills and the ability to proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

The Outpatient Adult Psychiatrypractice is a highly respected, multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive, confidential mental and emotional health care. Our clinicians including psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, mentalhealth counselors, and boardcertified psychiatrists deliver tailored evaluation and treatment services supported by the full resources of ChristianaCare. We care for patients experiencing a wide range of behavioralhealth needs, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, relationship and family challenges, life transitions, grief and loss, and other emotional or mentalhealth concerns. Our integrated model ensures patients receive convenient, coordinated support from a team committed to highquality, compassionate care.

The Medical Office Assistant I schedules appointments with attention to insurance, greets patients while collecting necessary information, and processes referrals while maintaining confidentiality.

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: Day Shift

• No weekends or holidays

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Office Assistant I handles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments. They manage communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff. The role includes updating patients, scheduling tests and appointments, maintaining medical records, resolving patient issues, supporting administrative tasks, and following safety protocols, with additional duties as needed.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.

• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.32 - $25.12 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
