Location/Remote: Onsite in Denver, CO, 80203

Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Compensation:

• Base salary : $140,000–$200,000, depending on experience
• Performance bonus opportunity : $30,000–$50,000+

About the Opportunity:

An established Denver litigation firm is seeking a Senior Attorney to join its insurance defense practice.

This is an opportunity for an experienced attorney who enjoys managing cases independently, developing litigation strategy, working directly with clients and carriers, and handling matters from inception through resolution.

Practice Areas:

• Insurance defense
• Premises liability
• General liability
• Auto liability
• Personal injury
• Coverage and related civil litigation matters

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a docket of insurance defense matters
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate case exposure
• Handle discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and hearings
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings as needed
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and experts
• Maintain case budgets, deadlines, and reporting requirements

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Colorado Bar license
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience
• 5+ years of insurance defense experience
• Experience handling depositions, hearings, mediations, and motion practice
• Strong legal writing, advocacy, and client communication skills
• Ability to manage matters independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trial experience
• Licensure in Wyoming and/or Nebraska
