Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using a mixture of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that are geared toward meeting both short-term goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver specialized one-on-one speech therapy focusing on facets such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to develop unified care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to assist with their progress during and beyond clinical sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with all state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by interacting with peers and keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have yet to attain ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
