Transform Lives Through Communication in Scenic Saint Paul – Become Part of Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a journey where your career not only gives a voice to the voiceless but also instills hope and independence — as a Speech Language Pathologist in the charming city of Saint Paul, your efforts will extend beyond managing communication and swallowing difficulties. You will be at the forefront of creating connections, enhancing self-esteem, and enabling individuals to express themselves fully — from the playful laughter of children to the heartfelt stories of elderly patients.
This role offers an exceptional chance to impact lives across all ages in a dynamic environment that marries outpatient therapy with selected inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in guiding children through language development, facilitating recovery for adult communication disorders, or aiding seniors in cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you'll find an abundant array of fulfilling opportunities here.
Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
Create individualized treatment plans that meet both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver customized one-on-one speech therapy targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate unified care strategies.
Provide education to patients and their families to foster continued progress beyond clinical visits.
Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the rehabilitation process.
Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Keep abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been attained.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
Strong proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse age groups, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Able to adjust therapeutic techniques to address a variety of cultural and linguistic needs.
Sound clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving skills.
Competent in navigating electronic medical records and adhering to documentation protocols.
Attractive salary package based on experience.
Flexible scheduling to enhance work-life balance while managing diverse caseloads.
Opportunities to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) plus holiday compensation.
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offerings.
Support for continuing education and professional advancement.
A nurturing and collaborative workplace focused on delivering high-quality care and encouraging continuous learning.
In this capacity, you'll not only provide pivotal speech therapy services but also participate in a community-driven mission to amplify voices, foster communication, and create joyous moments through the beautiful acts of understanding and being understood.
Join a team that treats each member like family, in a culture that embraces cooperation rather than competition. Every patient has a unique narrative; you will be entrusted to help shape it through your expertise and compassion.
Saint Paul is a thriving community that offers not only a rich tapestry of culture but also a refreshing lifestyle that blends urban excitement with serene nature. Surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Mississippi River and lush parks, the area is perfect for those seeking a connection with nature and modern conveniences.
Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy hiking, biking, and cozying up with a coffee in local cafés during chilly winter months. Families can explore engaging educational venues, festivals, and farmers' markets, where connections flourish over fresh produce and local delicacies. Culinary aficionados will discover an eclectic food scene, where gourmet restaurants and food trucks alike celebrate innovative flavors and regional ingredients.

Additionally, individuals will benefit from a robust economy, low state income tax, and an overall lower cost of living, making this city a prime destination for both career advancement and lifestyle enrichment.
Whether you are a newcomer to the field or an experienced clinician eager to explore new avenues, Saint Paul is the perfect place for both personal and professional growth.
We are in search of a Speech Language Pathologist motivated by both successful outcomes and heartfelt compassion. You may see a shy child and dream of a future filled with self-expression, or you might hear a stroke survivor's slurred words and envision their desire to communicate again.
Whether you are a pediatric-focused therapist looking to include adult services in your repertoire or a neuro-oriented clinician who wants to embrace early intervention, if passion guides your service, we are eager to welcome you.
If you understand that speech transcends mere sounds and that therapy embodies more than just tasks — if you prioritize trust-building and value joy in communication — then this position could mark a significant chapter in your professional journey.
Join a community that honors communication, cultivates connection, and recognizes the courage it takes to embark on new beginnings. Apply today to bring your skills to our dedicated team — and help others find their voices.
