Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups using both recognized assessments and keen observational techniques.
• Craft customized treatment plans that encompass immediate objectives as well as long-term needs involving communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Provide individual speech therapy sessions that prioritize communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing interventions.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caretakers to devise cohesive care strategies.
• Facilitate education for patients and their families which promotes progress in therapy outside the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care during the entire recovery journey.
• Ensure meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Advance your expertise by staying abreast of the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
