Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney in Long Island, New York. This role offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement and provides an excellent opportunity for an associate to learn, grow, and take on significant responsibilities within a leading regional medical malpractice defense team. Duties Independently manage a caseload involving medical malpractice claims. Collaborate with attorneys, team members, and partners on legal projects. Handle court appearances and depositions regularly. Communicate with clients and provide status reports. Manage a significant caseload of COVID-related lawsuits. Requirements JD from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in New York. 2+ years of defense litigation experience. Experience in medical malpractice preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Legal project management experience is helpful. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice law in New York. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
