Pricing Analyst (Legal)
\nLocation: New York, NY | Los Angeles, CA | Washington, DC
\nSchedule: Hybrid — one day in the office per week
\nCompensation: Up to $90,000 base salary + discretionary bonus
\nEmployment Type: Full-time, direct hire
\n \nA leading global law firm is seeking a Pricing Analyst to support its growing pricing team. This opportunity is ideal for an early-career analyst looking to build expertise in pricing, financial analysis, and profitability within a collaborative professional services environment.
\n \nWhat You’ll Do
\n- \n
- Support the development of pricing proposals, client budgets, and alternative fee arrangements. \n
- Build Excel models to analyze matter profitability and support pricing decisions. \n
- Review historical financial data and comparable matters to help develop budgets for new engagements. \n
- Analyze billing rates, client performance, and market trends to identify pricing opportunities. \n
- Help monitor budgets and prepare recommendations for pricing adjustments. \n
- Maintain and audit billing rate and special fee arrangement data. \n
- Prepare reports and presentations highlighting pricing trends and financial insights. \n
- Collaborate with attorneys, finance colleagues, and other internal teams on analyses and special projects. \n
What We’re Looking For
\n- \n
- Relevant experience in pricing or financial analysis within a law firm or similar professional services organization. \n
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas, and working with large datasets. \n
- An interest in developing expertise in legal pricing, budgeting, and profitability analysis. \n
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities. \n
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach. \n
- Bachelor’s degree; finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field preferred. \n
- Experience with Elite 3E, Aderant, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus. \n
