About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Accounting to lead its accounting operations with a focus on compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic accounting initiatives, enhancing reporting workflows, and ensuring that financial processes align with the organization's goals. This role involves preparing technical accounting memos, supporting audits, and maintaining policies to ensure operational efficiency. The VP will also be instrumental in the development of internal and external reporting packages, including SEC filings, and will oversee transaction processing, subledger entries, and reconciliations. Applicants for the Vice President of Corporate Accounting position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, with a CPA certification required. A minimum of 12 years' progressive accounting experience, preferably in mortgage loans or securities, is essential. The role demands advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, and a proven track record of driving change and process improvements within accounting functions.
