About the Position

A well-established healthcare system in beautiful Bellingham, Washington is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity. This position offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care , including clinic, endoscopy, and hospital coverage.

The ideal candidate will have strong advanced endoscopy skills, including ERCP , and be comfortable managing both consultative and procedural gastroenterology cases.

Practice Details

• Adult patient population (18+)
• Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Clinic, hospital, and endoscopy center coverage
• Average Clinic Volume: 16 patients/day
• Endoscopy Center: 14–16 procedures/day
• Hospital census varies
• Collaborative GI team with dedicated support staff
• EMR: Epic

Required Procedures

• ERCP (Required)
• General Gastroenterology procedures

Schedule

• Day shifts (approximately 8–9 hours)
• Weekday and weekend coverage
• 24-hour call required
• Hospitalist and call coverage included

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active Washington License or IMLC eligibility (facility willing to license)
• ACLS Certification
• Epic EMR experience
• Recent ERCP experience with documentation
• Applicants must provide recent case logs meeting facility privileging requirements
