The Head of Marketing & PR leads all marketing and public relations initiatives across SUSHISAMBA's North American locations, driving brand awareness, guest acquisition, customer engagement, and revenue growth while positioning SUSHISAMBA Los Angeles as one of the city's premier dining and lifestyle destinations.
This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across digital marketing, social media, public relations, influencer marketing, partnerships, events, CRM, and community engagement, ensuring alignment with global brand standards and commercial objectives.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, commercially minded marketer with exceptional communication and project management skills. Working closely with operations, sales, culinary, external agencies, and the corporate marketing team, they will deliver impactful campaigns, build strategic partnerships, and create compelling brand experiences that drive measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and deliver the annual marketing strategy for SUSHISAMBA's North American locations, aligned with brand and commercial objectives.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing and PR campaigns for Los Angeles and Las Vegas, supporting key business priorities, seasonal moments, menu launches, and brand initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to increase guest traffic, revenue, and market share across lunch, brunch, dinner, late night, private dining, and special events.
- Monitor market trends, guest insights, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and inform marketing strategy.
- Collaborate with the VP of marketing and operations teams to align marketing priorities with business objectives.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across all marketing communications, including website content, social media, e-blasts, press releases, and printed collateral, ensuring all materials reflect the brand’s identity and integrity.
- Support the development of promotional materials, including digital assets, print collateral, and media kits, ensuring brand consistency.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively, making ROI-driven decisions to maximize impact.
Public Relations & Communications:
- Oversee and manage PR strategy across North America, managing external agencies to maximize media coverage and brand visibility.
- Build relationships with media, influencers, tastemakers, hotels, concierge partners, and industry contacts.
- Develop press releases, media materials, talking points, and campaign messaging.
- Coordinate & plan media tastings, press events and product launches, influencer activations, and VIP experiences to engage media, local communities, and key industry players.
- Manage influencer partnerships and brand collaborations that enhance awareness and drive guests visits
- Monitor media coverage, track PR results, and compile regular reports on press activities and brand sentiment.
Digital & Social Media Leadership:
- Manage digital marketing efforts for North American Locations, including social media, CRM/email campaigns, SEO/SEM, and paid media, to drive both local and national traffic.
- Work closely with the digital agency to drive engagement and audience growth.
- Utilize data analytics to track and optimize campaign performance and marketing spend.
- Develop the social media strategy and oversee content planning, photography, videography, and creative production.
- Monitor campaign performance, guest engagement, and marketing KPIs, using insights to optimize future activity.
Administrative:
- Track and prepare monthly marketing reports on the performance of marketing campaigns, social media metrics, and PR efforts to evaluate effectiveness.
- Develop fact sheets, memos, and recap reports for all marketing and PR activations.
- Manage the production, review, and approval of menus, promotional materials, and marketing collateral
- Coordinate photography and video shoots while maintaining an organized library of approved brand assets.
- Manage the marketing calendar to ensure campaigns and promotional materials are delivered on time.
- Manage and update website content and 3rd party platforms (Google, TripAdvisor, etc.) for all SUSHISAMBA U.S. locations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, advertising, or brand management within hospitality, luxury, or lifestyle sectors.
- Proven success in the hospitality industry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong network of media contacts and industry partners.
- Proven ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Experience managing agencies, partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, social media strategy, and performance analytics.
- Detail-oriented, creative thinker with the ability to drive innovative campaigns.
