Pediatric Transplant HepatologistThe Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Transplant Hepatologist to join our growing team. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.This position is full or part-time, 50%-100%This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Assistant Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), Professor (CHS), Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Visiting Associate Professor, or Visiting Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.Provide clinical service to pediatric liver transplant and pediatric liver and GI patients, both in the pediatric liver clinic and pediatric liver transplant clinics. Inpatient GI service is shared between all providers within the division. Provide pre-op and post-op care to pediatric liver transplant patients.Engage in clinical teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and support the teaching and clinical research missions of the division and department.Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health (applicable to Physicians hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track)). An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.Carry out independent research/scholarly activity in an area of interest (CHS Track only)School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, & NutritionThe Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is a vibrant academic department comprising more than 230 faculty members in 16 subspecialty divisions. The department promotes and enhances the health of children through outstanding clinical care, exemplary education of pediatric trainees, performance of cutting-edge research, and vigorous advocacy.The Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division provides evaluation and treatment for a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders and participates in clinical and translational research to help lead future practice. The GI and hepatology team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pediatric dieticians, and a pediatric health psychologist who help manage complex and chronic gastrointestinal diseases. This team offers care through outpatient clinics at UW Health Kids and hospital care at UW Health Kids American Family Children's Hospital, as well as multiple sites across the region.Compensation: Negotiable, 12 monthEmployees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation, holidays, and sick leave; competitive insurances and savings accounts; retirement benefits.
