Physical Therapist Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in Physical Therapy and hold a current license to practice in Texas. This role involves working with both inpatients and outpatients in a critical access environment, offering comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in providing care and therapy to patients.
- Facilitate rehabilitation and recovery through therapeutic exercises and modalities.
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records and documentation as per requirements.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license to practice in Texas.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain currency.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient or acute care setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
This position is based in a 25-bed critical access facility that includes swing beds, an ICU unit, a medical/surgical unit, an orthopedics department, and a cardiac catheterization lab.
Health Requirements
- MMR vaccination and health history documentation required.
- Fit Test, Hepatitis B vaccination, Influenza vaccination, TB Test, and Varicella vaccination documentation required.
- Physical/Health statement needed upon onboarding.
- Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test) required.
Documentation
- Driver's License/State ID is required for onboarding.
- References must be provided as part of the application process.
- Completion of background checks and other verification processes necessary.
