The Account Manager plays a critical role in fulfilling our mission by ensuring every customer receives consistent, reliable service after the sale is made, supporting our sales team so they can focus on growing new business.

Job Overview

The Account Manager supports the sales team by managing day-to-day customer communication, shipment coordination, and service resolution for existing accounts. This role blends customer service, logistics coordination, and administrative support, with the opportunity to grow into business development as skills and interest develop.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Customer Support
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for existing shipper accounts.
• Proactively communicate shipment status, delays, and service updates.
• Resolve service issues and escalate complex problems as needed.

Freight Coordination Support
• Assist brokers with carrier sourcing and booking on established lanes.
• Monitor in-transit shipments and coordinate pickup/delivery details.
• Support on-time performance tracking for assigned accounts.

Administrative & Financial Support
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry within the TMS.
• Support timely and accurate invoicing and basic collections follow-up.
• Maintain detailed records and report account performance metrics as needed.

Fundamental Job Requirements

• The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:

• Manage multiple accounts and shipments in a high-volume environment.

• Operate within TMS platforms and general office software (Microsoft Office Suite).

Qualifications
• Experience: Entry-level; prior customer service, logistics, or dispatch experience helpful but not required.
• Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management and organizational ability.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office preferred; willingness to learn required.
• Customer-first mindset with attention to detail.
