Patient Service Representative - Occupational Health

Provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support through scheduling, coding, registration, and billing Maximize revenues by collecting payment at time of service Enter accurate and up-to-date billing information, including address and insurance coverage, into the patient accounting system Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records Provide efficient, high-quality service to patients arriving for appointments or requesting appointments or information by telephone or in person Respond to inquiries about tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters Enter patient and payer billing information at time of service and follow up accurately on missing information Uphold practice and medical group standards for accurate and timely medical records Support providers, connect with patients, and help ensure a seamless, compassionate patient experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent One to two years related customer service experience Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients Ability to function in a high-volume, multiple-task environment and in a crowded or closely shared workspace Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers Must lift up to 35 pounds without help Flexibility to travel between Mount Pleasant, Pleasant Prairie, and Franklin sites as needed Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in customer service and practice support, ensuring accurate billing, scheduling, and medical record maintenance while providing a compassionate patient experience.
