Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinical Assistant Professor Position Summary The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join 13 faculty and 5 advanced nurse practitioners in expanding the academic and clinical mission of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. The position is on the fixed‑term track at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank, full‑time, and clinical‑focused. The ideal candidate has completed pediatric GI subspecialty training, holds a valid unrestricted North Carolina medical license, and has demonstrated excellence in clinical care and teaching. Strong clinical and endoscopic skills and a strong interest in general pediatric gastroenterology are required. Candidates who are interested in growing a clinical program in pediatric obesity and advancing research, education, and advocacy missions are encouraged to apply. The selected candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team comprising a pediatric endocrinologist, a pediatric bariatric surgeon, a dietitian, a licensed social worker, and policy advocates, and will collaborate with existing weight‑management programs and research investigators at UNC and Duke.
