As the U.S. enters a new capex supercycle across data centers, factories, housing, and renewables, joining PermitFlow means building the AI infrastructure at the core of every construction project driving the next wave of reindustrialization.
We've raised over $90M, most recently completing our Series B, from top-tier investors including Accel, Kleiner Perkins, Initialized, Y Combinator, Felicis, and Altos Ventures, with backing from leaders at OpenAI, Google, Procore, ServiceTitan, Zillow, PlanGrid, and Uber.
Our HQ is in New York City with a hybrid schedule (3 in-office days per week). We prefer NYC-based candidates or those open to relocation.
Role Overview
PermitFlow is hiring a BDR Manager to build and lead the outbound function driving our enterprise pipeline. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, you'll own the full BDR operation: the team, the motion, the measurement systems, and the rep talent needed to scale. This is a ground-floor opportunity to design how the function works. The ideal candidate is equal parts coach and operator, someone who has done the BDR job, earned a path into management, and knows how to build a repeatable outbound motion from scratch.
What You'll Do
- Lead and inspire a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to achieve and exceed targets. Foster a collaborative and high-energy team culture focused on achieving collective goals. Provide coaching & ongoing training to ensure the team's continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement comprehensive BDR strategies to drive lead generation and pipeline growth. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align BDR efforts with overall business objectives. Identify and explore new channels for lead generation and outreach.
- Continuously refine and optimize the BDR workflow to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure team performance.
- Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure seamless handoffs and a cohesive customer experience.
- Generate regular reports on key BDR metrics, performance, and pipeline development.
What We're Looking For
- You're deeply passionate about the tech industry and early stage startups and have a proven track record of driving growth in BDR initiatives within innovative and dynamic tech environments.
- You have a strategic mindset, with a proven ability to drive growth in BDR initiatives specifically within the construction tech or related sectors. Your experience demonstrates a deep understanding of how to align BDR efforts with the nuances of the construction tech market.
- A creative problem solver, you consistently find innovative ways to align BDR strategies with customer needs, ensuring a seamless and customer-centric approach to lead generation.
- Your decision-making process is anchored in data analysis, leveraging metrics to ensure BDR strategies are not only effective but also tailored to the unique aspects of the tech industry.
- Your metrics prowess goes beyond the usual KPIs. You have a nuanced understanding of industry-specific data, allowing you to derive insights that contribute to a finely tuned understanding of BDR performance in the tech domain.
