District Operations Manager - Doorstep Trash Collection (Nights & Weekends) About CCS Community Concierge Services (CCS) is a nationwide provider of doorstep waste and recycling collection for apartment communities. Each night, our team of 700+ employees services more than 160,000 apartment units across the country. The Opportunity As an Area Operations Manager , you'll own end-to-end operations for doorstep trash collection across your market. You'll lead new community rollouts, build and develop your team, partner with property managers, and work alongside your crew in the field. This role blends white-collar leadership with blue-collar grit. You'll manage schedules, payroll, and client relationships by day, and you'll roll up your sleeves and lead from the front at night. What You’ll Do Lead nightly operations across multiple residential properties, ensuring flawless, on-time execution Hire, train, and coach porters to CCS service standards Conduct on-site quality audits and employee performance checks Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers and clients Manage scheduling and route coverage – no missed pickups Oversee employee logistics: safety gear, reporting apps, and ADP payroll Respond quickly to on-site issues such as equipment failures or staffing gaps Maintain nightly reporting, payroll, employee documentation, and compliance Support new community onboarding, including resident orientations and equipment distribution Who You Are A hands‑on leader who isn’t afraid to work late nights or jump on a route when needed A proactive problem solver and communicator – honest, accountable, and solution‑focused Comfortable managing people, systems, and processes in a fast‑paced environment Flexible and responsive – able to pivot when staffing gaps or service issues arise A team builder who leads by example and wants to grow as the company grows Requirements Clean driving record with 5+ years of driving experience (required to operate a company vehicle) Ability to pass a background check and drug test Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Able to work outdoors for extended periods and stay on your feet, walking several miles per shift, without assistance Strong work ethic across both blue‑collar and white‑collar tasks daily Schedule & Work Environment Night and weekend availability required; routes run 7 days a week Peak working hours are 7 PM‑2 AM daily Mix of field work and administrative tasks, with flexible daytime hours based on business needs Travel to neighboring markets may be required to support operations Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $55,000/year, paid bi‑weekly Performance Bonus: $5,000/year, paid quarterly Company Vehicle: for all work‑related use – gas and maintenance covered Health Insurance: company‑sponsored plan for you and your family 401(k) Match: 4% match on the first 5% after 12 months Growth: help build and lead new districts as we expand Equal Opportunity Statement Community Concierge Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
