Registered Behavior Technician
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners in a dynamic school environment near Fairfield, CT. This full-time position offers a chance to make a meaningful difference as you work closely with elementary students requiring behavioral assistance. You'll step in for an RBT currently on leave, primarily supporting two students in grades 3 and 5 as a one-on-one Registered Behavior Technician, with an additional kindergarten caseload.
Position Details:
- Immediate start through December, with the possibility of extension
- Monday through Friday, 3537.5 hours per week
- Full school-day schedule for reliable stability
- Work as a vital support professional, collaborating with on-site staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one behavioral support and implement intervention plans for assigned students
- Foster positive relationships and help students achieve their behavior goals
- Collect data, document progress, and communicate insights to supervising clinicians and educators
- Assist with classroom integration and transitions throughout the school day
- Adapt to evolving needs to best support students and the educational team
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Prior experience working with children or in school settings preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting children with behavioral needs
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
